It’s now the beginning of Fall, or maybe almost winter depending on how you look at it, and we’re approaching the end of 2014. I’ve been working hard, week after week, on all of my projects and ensuring that I go into 2015 with some momentum! If you follow me on social media I’ve talked about a few of the projects I’m working on but I haven’t been very vocal about this one in particular. I always love sharing the goods on the exciting things that I’m working on but I have so much going on at once that I have to be selective about what I out put out there.
So I’m excited to drop the details on this project, well… some of the details.
A few months ago I was invited to participate in what will most likely be the beginning of a very successful franchise of events that will be a multi-city annual symposium designed to empower women. The picture you are seeing above is the initial core group of participants that are part of the planning committee for the 2nd annual event slated for the spring of 2015 in Chicago. I can’t disclose the speakers list but we have several nationally known celebrity and women entrepreneurs headlining our event. The speakers panel is designed to be a very heavy content focused discourse on empowering women through the teachings of business trends into the new year. We are bringing experts to the panel to discuss ways to help women climb the corporate ladder, launch their next successful brand or business, and start out on a path to break the glass ceiling that keeps women from venturing into higher positions of power and leadership.
This will be a 6 hour symposium and panel with some of the top women in business and entrepreneurship to be held at a hotel downtown Chicago. The location, date, and time will be announced soon and the ticket price will include brunch, several takeaways, as well as opportunities to commune with the speakers starting at $350.
We are also launching and incorporating a company that this event will be housed and operated under. As such, I’ve been asked to fill a key chief executive position to aid in launching the startup and I’ve been active in working with the team to get this going. I will begin networking with a lot of my professional network to invite them to this women’s business symposium as we are planning to make this a very value added event for all of the attendees!
Stay tuned for updates!
