Dr. Eric “ET” Thomas the Hip-hop Preacher
Before you scroll down and watch the video I need to ask you something….
How bad do you want to succeed?
How bad to you want to be successful? If you’ve thought about your ideal life and envisioned what that looked like what are you willing to give up to get it?
If you aspire to anything in life these questions at some point will plague you. Especially if being an entrepreneur is the goal.
I follow a lot of bloggers in the online space and there are so many amazing leaders to learn from. I am a sucker for great content and I am always on the hunt for the best purveyors of that content.
One of those individuals is Lewis Howes.
Lewis has been a staple in the online industry for many years. I’ve followed his work for a while now and he hosts a really amazing podcast called The School of Greatness. He launched the Podcast in 2013 and it’s been downloaded millions of times, and for good reason.
In a recent episode of the podcast Lewis interviewed entrepreneur, author, and speaker Dr. Eric “ET” Thomas–affectionately known as the hip-hop preacher.
Eric is a motivational speaker and author whose motivational musings started going viral on YouTube many years ago. His story is quite interesting, and if you do a search for him on YouTube you’ll see why he is a very sought after motivational speaker and consultant. He just completed his doctorate degree and consults for professional sports teams among other things.
Lewis Howes interview with Eric is extremely compelling and I’ve watched this several times because his message goes straight below the belt!
By the way, Lebron James credits Eric for the force behind him winning the 2012 NBA Championship.
Eric’s 10 Rules for Success:
Know what you want.
Work on your gift.
Don’t make excuses.
Upgrade your values.
You reap what you sow.
Education is the great equalizer.
What is your “Why”?
Speak from the heart.
Succeed as bad as you want to breath.
