Historically, law, medicine, and technology have been the highest salaried professions for decades. If you want to earn six-figures than these are the professions to be in.
If high paying salaries are of interest to you then I implore you to pay attention to the industries mentioned in this post that are garnering some of the highest paying careers in the country.
I’ve worked in technology for over 15 years and with a good technical skillset and experience commanding a salary in the six-figure range is not uncommon for those that work in that space.
A recent survey was released by Glassdoor on their blog which highlights the top 15 companies with the highest median base salaries. For those career minded and corporate professionals Glassdoor is a website that gives employees and former employees an opportunity to create a community where individuals can talk about their careers and give feedback on any organization where they were employed.
At current there are over 6 million company reviews as well as critiques and ratings of CEO’s performance. The website also includes salary reports, reviews of company benefits, and interview reviews to help those who are looking to get hired with any company in question.
The top 15 companies median base salary:
1. Skadden Arps – $170,000

Some of my closest friends that earn the highest paid career incomes come from the medical, law, and tech fields. Technology specifically is a huge driver for companies because everything a company does from operations to revenue generating activities has some overlap with technology.
Also consider the incline in Tech salaries over the past decade. I highly recommend the field!
It’s almost impossible to get away from the fact that tech invades every aspect of an organizations operations. For those that can truly master and develop the necessary experience in the tech world, you will truly be a commodity to any employer.
